Issue 3
Tales from Trapper the Cyber Snoop
Sorry, that this issue is late. The boss has the Flu, and is so zonked with it that he can fall asleep between the t and h went typing the…

It was getting hard for me to maintain my nickname as the Cyber Snoop, or Editor in Chief.  The Boss wasn’t writing much, he was fooling around with some ideas, but nothing seemed to stick.  What I did see was The Boss spending more and more time looking at pictures of houses. From what I saw, none of them looked like ours, either inside or outside. I kind of wished that I had the same abilities as my dad, Street-Fighter, and his co-star Jasper had. Then I could have just asked The Boss, what was going on.

It had been a funny winter, with very little snow, and the seven of us on the inside got to sit at the glass front door, way more than normal.  It also meant that the cats in the Feral community, where I had learned that we all came from, were sitting on the other side of the door. My sister, Cow Kitty, was at the door a lot, as was my mother, and Mr. Bond. Whom, since they were both now fixed, had bonded as a couple, and were at each other’s side more often than not.

When winter finally did arrive, at almost the end of March, it presented us with almost thirty inches of snow, and then promptly turned around and melted it all in a couple of days time. Then to make matter worse, we had a wind storm with over 80 miles an hour winds. By the time the snow had melted everything outside was either buried under downed tree limbs and or underwater, including cat bridge over the creek underwater.  I watched from the back window, as The Boss worked long and hard to clean up the mess and look after the cats in the pride.

I had to laugh when I watched my sister Cow Kitty try to cross the bridge to get to the hunting field. The water over the bridge was deeper than her legs were tall and flowing pretty good. She lost her balance once and went under, but she came back up and made a desperate jump for the other side.  Yeup, you guessed it, she was a bit short with her jump, and in she went again. This time, having to fight her way over the down branches in the water, so she could finally get to dry land.  Once she was on the land, all of the other cats scattered, knowing full well, the temper that she had, and the fact that she did not like her fur getting wet or muddy. I was treated to a replay a few days later. Only this time, it was The Boss, who lost his footing and fell into the creek. Of course, he was trying to make the bridge safe for the cats to use.  There isn’t much that he won’t do for either the inside or outside group.
